Vinyasa Natyam Yoga Dance is a unique creation from Somita Basak.
This class offers the wonderful benefits of yoga and dance in one session by combining aspects of Vinyasa Flow and Bharatanatyam to create Vinyasa Natyam.
Challenging flow provides a cardio workout. Postures condition and tone the body resulting in lean muscle definition. Rhythmic dance sequences strengthen the body and exercise the mental body. Deep stretches enhance flexibility and longevity of joints.
An overall wellbeing of body and mind is achieved through regular practice.
Vinyasa flow is a dynamic and fluid form of yoga which grounds the body and calms the mind. Harmonising the breath with the movement of the body. Increasing the three S’s; strength, stamina and suppleness.
Bharatanatyam is a classical Indian dance form originating from the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is known for its grace, sculpture like poses, strong lines and dynamic energy. It is one of the most popular and widely performed dance styles and is practiced by male and female dancers all over the world.
