Sunday’s with Somita

So wake up after a splendid sleep, take a lovely long warm shower, massage your body with some relaxing oils.

Dress in comfortable clothing and drink a cup of hot water with lemon.

Make your way to Clissold House and then join us for a morning yoga session.

We shall begin with Pranayama (breath work) , move into Asana (physical postures) and conclude with some discussion on the Yamas & Nyamas  (A form of moral imperatives, commandments, rules or goals.)

We begin with a dynamic yoga warm up, which helps to condition and tone the body.

—We learn the basic steps of Bharatanatyam which is a South Indian classical dance form.

—Dance is an energetic and fun way to get fit.

—We finish with some deep stretches to enhance flexibility.
